2D map and laser sensor-based guidance for an autonomous robot

This work presents research results on designing and manufacturing self-propelled robots to serve the needs of daily life. This is a self-propelled robot that can be controlled remotely, designed, and manufactured completely including hardware and software systems. The robot is equipped with laser sensors to perform functions of two-dimentional (2D) map construction, route detection, and obstacle avoidance. Experimental studies show that the robot has stable movement and can move automatically from the initial starting point to the destination. This successful research will make an important contribution to mastering the technology of designing and manufacturing self-propelled robots to serve social needs. The article has profound scientific and practical significance, is highly applicable, which may open new research directions applying autonomous robots to other applications fields.
